Post Touchpad connector broke off from mishandling
I put to much strain on the Touchpad connector and now its broken,
I seriously recommend not to mess with your flex cable connectors to many times (like i did) because they are only rated for about 10 cycles (installing/uninstalling)

Luckily, instead of replacing the whole main board of my ds lite.
Im buying "FH19SC-4S-0.5SH(05)":
*0.2mm flex cable thick
*0.5mm pitch between leads
*bottom side contact
*4 pin contacts
from www.digikey.com
It isnt the same connector (see: molex "backflip"), but im convinced that
it will work better that the cheap connector nintendo made it with.

Im posting this because if this works; It will give other ppl more confidence to not worry about breaking stuff if we can find suitable replacements.

I will also follow up if this works n_n

Post Follow up:
The exact replacement for the touchpad flex cable connector is 5014610401 from molex... google it
however finding someone who sells it, thats the real challenge :(

Anyways back to the Hirose connector "FH19SC-4S-0.5SH(05)"
I was able to make the touchpad work again with the hirose connector... however there where some problems...
while the lands of the 4 electrical pins matched perfectly,
the 2 side lands of the connector (used for strain protection, no electrical connection) did not match!
I was able to put some epoxy to glue the piece to the board to prevent any tugging/pulling from installation.
The flex cable fits perfect in the hirose connector.
After sealing the DS Lite and powering it on ...
the touchpad is alive again :).

Anyway if anybody can find a vendor for the molex part please let me know
otherwise you can try the hirose connector at your own risk.
